Which one you must choose , Epson DX5 or Ricoh GH2220 ?

It is not easy to accept that Challenges in the

world about print heads. After TFT technology

surround on print head manufacturers, now small

droplets more nozzle printhead are widely

coming.

In this segment Epson print head is the leader with

DX5,DX6,DX7 models. Specially Epson DX5

has capable of fire variable dots with Water based

,Solvent based and UV based inks with low

viscosity.



In this range , New upcoming Ricoh GH2220 is

promising . Specially printhead approved and

Roland TrueVis equipped with Ricoh GH2220 print head

used on Roland TrueVis printers ,it gives this

head highly confidence on the market.

Most of Chinese printer manufacturer is already

used Ricoh GH2220 printhead, which already

appeared on China Sign Expo.

What is interesting for us , Ricoh GH2220 has no

need for dampers or specially nozzle clean and

wipe unit, which still has 3pl inks with medium viscosity ink.

These aspects will bring Ricoh GH2220 is further with price, specification and so on.

We will see who will win.

Today King is Epson DX5 but I believe future is Ricoh GH2220.
